Welcome
Artsadmin believes that theatre, dance, music and live art can be used to develop experimental and experiential processes of involvement. Collective and individual agency is at the forefront of the creative process, and these principles are at the core of all of our work with young people and emerging artists.
The work we do can be broken down into 3 'streams'
- Youth led (projects and programmes initiated and run by young people)
- Artist led (projects run by artists whose work is informed by collaborations)
- Interference (a programme giving participants a chance to explore the crossover between art, activism and education)
If you would like to find out more about education at artsadmin please email samtrotman@artsadmin.co.uk.
At the core of all these areas of work is:
- A focus on emerging cultural practitioners
- A focus on the development of high quality Live Art practice
- A lack of emphasis on predetermined outcomes, allowing for freedom and process driven work
- Involvement of the whole team at Artsadmin – a chance for participants to be supported and grow with the organisation with personalised progression routes
- Evaluation – pre/during/post project with all work developed by or with young people
- A long-term commitment to participants
