#2DegreesFestival | Climate Couch

Stacy Makishi

Photo by Flikr user Caneles.

7pm. £5 (includes a free drink).

Bored of ‘expert’ panels and B-list celebs arguing the finer points of the climate crisis? Well so are we…

For the climax of 2 Degrees Festival 2015, raise a glass (or three!) with the delightfully quirky (distinctly non-expert) Stacy Makishi on the Climate Couch – a subversive take on the typical chat show featuring activists, writers, and artists with radical new ideas on climate issues.

Whether you’re a climate saint or sinner, the Climate Couch enables you to dip a toe into the polar ice cap puddle whilst maintaining hope for alternative solutions.

Featuring:

Agamemnon Otero, CEO of Repowering and member of the Department for Energy and Climate Change Community Energy Contact Group;

Danni Paffard, founder and chair of Move Your Money and currently coordinating the rapidly growing fossil fuel divestment campaign in the UK for 350.org

Charlie Kronick, senior programme advisor at Greenpeace UK.

And in true chat-show style, we’ll have our own in-house band, Bridge of Sound, and performances from Pete the Temp – poet, educator, beatboxer and loop pedal artist.
