Live art collective Steakhouse Live is back with its most ambitious festival yet. Steakhouse Live: Longer Wetter Faster Better presents 25 artists for three days of rowdy, sensual and provocative performances. Taking place from 14-16 October across three London venues – Rich Mix, The Yard and Toynbee Studios – the pieces range from a 30 second showdown to an 8 hour irreverent re-enactment of a Radio 4 Sunday broadcast. Glass will be shattered, skin will be tattooed, paint will be thrown, hair will be singed and bums will shake.

The Sunday at Toynbee Studios will be dedicated to durational performance and installations with work from Sandra Johnston, Michael Mayhew & Michael Barnes-Wynters, Hester Chillingworth, Wladyslaw Kazmierczak & Ewa Rybska, Zerelda Sinclair, Benjamin Sebastian, Eunjung Kim and Daniel Oliver plus more to be announced.

Founded in 2013, Steakhouse Live is one of the few DIY platforms for radical performance practices. The work they present cuts across theatre, visual art, cabaret, sculpture, dance, drag and immersive performance. Unprofessionalism is embraced.

Funded by Arts Council England.
