Arts AdminArtsadmin has an advisory service open to artists based in the UK and working in live art and performance art. It is open year round and is run by Manick Govinda and Nikki Tomlinson. Sessions can be one-to-one or in small groups for artists who are working collaboratively; we also offer advice and information by email and phone.
Sessions are bespoke; the content is led by artists and geared to their concerns, although they often revolve around the following areas; how to develop projects, find opportunities, platforms and venues; funding applications, marketing, issues around documentation and representation, networking, collaboration, and feedback on work itself.
Artsadmin can offer one free hour-long session to artists working in the area in which we are specialised – live art. We can sometimes offer further sessions or set up longer-term mentoring relationships. For reasons of funding and capacity, we are not able to offer sessions to artists outside this area, for example to artists working in contemporary dance, music, film, drama, performance poetry or circus. Please see our list below of links to other advisory services and opportunities.
To make best use of time, please also see our Frequently Asked Questions pages before booking a session.
Email advisoryservice(at)artsadmin.co.uk or call us on +44(0)20 7247 5102.
Please be aware that demand for advisory appointments is very high and we tend to book at least a fortnight in advance of meeting.
