I AM A THINKTANK

I am a Think Tank aims to allow young people to express their socio-political opinions to a wider audience through a range of processes including performance, discussion and happenings.

The project will involve a group of 16-25 year olds who will meet weekly between February and April to discuss political issues that affect them and their communities. Participants will work with Artsadmin associate artist Richard DeDomenici and a selection of invited guest lecturers to see how they can actively bring awareness to the issues affecting the group.

The course aims to:
*  Give participants a platform for voicing their opinions in radical and thought provoking ways
*  Develop a voice within the local community
*  Offer an unbiased space for young people to embrace political difference
*  Encourage debate and understanding through visual, oral and written language
*  Create a group that makes the young people feel empowered by their knowledge and understanding of political issues
