The Bastille Dances

Station House Opera

The most ambitious of the ‘breeze block’ projects, The Bastille Dances was a major commission to celebrate at the bicentenary of the French Revolution, a monumental performance using 8,000 breeze blocks to explore relationships between politics, power and buildings. Commissioned by Théâtre de Cherbourg and LIFT.
