Vena Amoris

Curious

2007

(love vein/vain): The Ancient Egyptians believed that the third finger of the left hand followed the vena amoris; the vein of love that ran directly to the heart. A direct, ‘digital’ blood flow.

Vena Amoris is a journey of narcissism and self obsession, employing both visceral and virtual means to explore the perils of self desire: the danger of leaning too far over the black pond of the ever-present screen and slowly becoming captivated, immobilized in the quest for the perfect pixilated image.
