Florence Peake's MAKE at Baltic

Posted on Sep 27, 2013

Florence Peake's MAKE takes an irreverent look at how sculpture is created, displayed and maintained. A task force of female performers build and then dismantle a monolithic structure through a series of choreographed actions which ritualise, parody and unveil the often hidden labour of art-making.

Watch the video of MAKE at Baltic ahead of Florence's performance coming up at V22 on 27 October.

Hello Florence
I met you at the exchange in Penzance and was totally inspired. Last year was my first opportunity to begin the SRT method and I am preparing a dissertation for my degree on dance and making, so it brings me to ask may I interview you as an artist dancing 'Make' and how it makes two creative worlds come together.
I can skype or meet up in London over the summer.

Hope to see you
All the best
