Gary Stevens presents a double-bill of performances at Toynbee Studios.

In his solo Not Tony, what appears to be a quick-change hat routine quickly leads to ambiguities and misunderstandings as Gary develops an elaborate game of exchanging objects as tokens of different people and places.

In a similar vein, Island wittily weaves an intricate web of connections, this time between five apparent strangers as a sense of recognition leads them to either invent or recall relationships. What starts as a simple case of mistaken identity becomes the gestural equivalent of a Mexican stand-off.
