The Haircut Before the Party: The Cut

The Haircut Before The Party have been invited to take part in The Cut in Tensta, Sweden. The Cut is curated by THE INSTITUTE OF CONTINUATION and brings together researchers, artists and activists and provides a space for them to consider and work around the potentials and risks of self-organised sites of learning.

On the final day at Tensta Konsthall, The Haircut Before The Party will provide free hair-cuts and an opportunity for the public to have their say on current issues, educational tradition, and the place art institutions can or could play within this. Conversations will take place alongside and with invited speakers Per Sundgren, teacher at the department for History of Ideas at Södertörn University, Karin Bähler Lavér founding member of Prekariatet Laurel Ptak, curator NY and currently at Tensta konsthall, Saadia Hussain is artistic head of Förorten i Centrum.

Participants of The Cut include artists Emanuel Almborg, Jens Strandberg, Jens Evaldsson, The Haircut Before The Party and Curators Katrin Ingelstedt and Egle Kulbokaite.
