Being an artist is boring. Are you tired of the endless submissions, applications, contracts and tax returns? Well maybe it's time to put the ART back into Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship.
WORK EXPERIENCE is a new platform for creative responses to the baffling administrative activities that come with the job of being an artist.
For our first event five artists who have never written an Arts Council Grants for the Arts application will respond to the five key headings of its proposal section: 'You and your work', 'How the public engage with your work', 'Making it happen', 'Finance' and 'Evaluation'. Each artist has 15 minutes to make their work your experience.
From magic to MC’ing, WORK EXPERIENCE promises to be an evening of great art for everyone. Featuring up-and-coming artists DAS IST DOCH KEINE ART, JANE FRANCES DUNLOP, THEATRESTATE, CHARLOTTE EMILY and OSAMA MC, expect an ACE night of new work that will be audience-focused, financially stringent and incorporate at least 10% match funding.
