SPILL analogue to a blunt trauma | jamie lewis hadley

This performance attempts to combine and subvert the aesthetics, techniques and materials that exist within medical, cinematic and live art practices. Attempting to both blur the boundary between artifice and reality and promote discussion about multiple contemporary blood and firearm politics. Since completing a BA and MRes in Theatre and Performance jamie lewis hadley has been working predominantly as a solo live artist, showing work in the UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, and France. His current area of research is concerned with performing medicine and the history of bloodletting as a medical practice. jamie was a National Platform artist in SPILL Festival of Performance, 2011.

Dr. Belinda Fenty graduated from UCL in 2006 with an MBBS and a first class intercalated BSc in Medical Physics and Bioengineering. In 2011, she gained a Master’s degree in Acting at ArtsEd.

jamie lewis hadley is a 2013 Artsadmin bursary recipient.
