Glorious Closing Party

Join Rajni Shah Projects and friends to celebrate the Glorious project in style at the Glorious closing party! Expect cakes, balloons, good times and good conversations. Everyone welcome.

From 2009 to 2012, Rajni Shah and collaborators made and toured Glorious – a haunting and unusual new musical created with a new set of musicians and local residents each time, asking what it might mean to live in a place and to gather together in a theatre. At the party, you will be invited to see the new Glorious publication, which includes interviews and texts from participants and company members as well as writers Elizabeth Lynch and Mary Paterson, and a new film by Becky Edmunds with footage from shows in Nottingham, London, Newcastle, Mons (Belgium) and Lancaster.

This event is part of Beyond Glorious: the radical in engaged artistic practices. On Thursday 30 May you can also join the company at Toynbee Studios for the Glorious film and book launch.

New Glorious publication The Glorious Storybook will be sold at a special launch price of 50% at both events.
