Work Experience

7.30pm. £5.

Hey artists! Are you tired of the endless submissions, applications, contracts and tax returns? Well, no fear! Work Experience is back… Which means it’s time to put the ART back into Emerging Cultural Entrepreneurism.

Work Experience is a platform for artists to creatively respond to the more administrative side of being an artist.

This year Work Experience will focus on the new Grants For The Arts funding application from Arts Council England.

Hosted by Odd Comic (Holly Bodmer and Dot Howard), artists will respond to the application form’s key headings “Artistic Quality”, “Public Engagement”, “Finance” and “Management”. Jamie Moakes will be reducing his artistic and financial needs to the bare minimum, Chloe Mashiter will be gambling her artists’ fee and Bryony White & Leonie Shinn Morris will be facilitating the audience through a game of managing your own show – artistic quality not applicable.

With risk factors being constantly monitored, expect an ACE night of new work that will be publicly engaging, sufficiently reliant on in-kind support and in no way eligibility checked.
