The Empathy Roadshow
Sarah Woods
7.30pm. £5.
We’ve recently discovered that we’re hard-wired for empathy – but what actually IS empathy? How do we know we’re feeling it, and what good does it do?
From interviewing a neuroscientist in Amsterdam to getting her hair cut by an empathic hairdresser, Sarah Woods, playwright and activist, has spent the last six months trying to find the answers. The Empathy Roadshow, an interactive, multi- media, one-woman performance, is Sarah’s response to her research.
There will be an opportunity after the performance to share your stories about moments of empathy – or lack of it – in your life.
Commissioned by People United and Kent County Council.
