Art Party Conference

Artsadmin is taking a stand at the Art Party Conference to showcase just what a difference artists make to young peoples lives. We are collaborating with Phoebe Davies to create a brand new set of her Nailwraps, honouring the brilliant, the bold and the beguiling artists and educators that continue to inspire young minds in spite of the ever more damaging policies and cuts doled out to the education sector.

We asked you to nominate artists and educators who’ve inspired you – historical, contemporary, public or personal figures who’ve influenced you. Phoebe then curated a new limited edition of ten nail wraps from your nominations and at the Art Party Conference we’re offering you the chance to get your own #artpartyheroes nailwrap.

We received over a hundred nominations the final ten represent just a fraction of the brilliant and varied nominations we received, and they are:

British education programmer.
7. Gloria Jean Watkins (bell hooks) (b.1952)
American author, feminist and social activist.
8. Ana Laura Lopez de la Torre (b.1969)
Uraguayan artist, activist lecturer and writer.
9. Holly Revell (b.1973)
British teacher and photographer.
10. Nora Sternfeld (b. 1976)
Austrian art educator and curator.
