CONTAMINATION ROOM
Martin O'Brien
2-5pm. Free. Booking essential as there are only 10 space available, please email karl@artsadmin.co.uk to secure a place.
Martin O'Brien's work uses physical endurance, disgust and pain-based practices to explore the politics of the sick body in relation to his experience of cystic fibrosis.
CONTAMINATION ROOM is a new series of open discussions hosted and facilitated by Martin as part of his Artsadmin Bursary. The principle for this series has emerged from his current interest in notions of infection and contagion and their implications for art practices. Each event will begin with a short provocation around a particular theme which may take the form of a film, a talk, a performance or a reading, followed by group discussion.
CONTAMINATION ROOM will be a space for discussion, for the cross-contamination of ideas, politics and practices. Places are limited to 10 for each session and so advance booking is essential.
