A to Z Unit and Blanch & Shock: micro-food bar
5.30-7pm. Free. This event is part of 2 Degrees Festival's day-long Tomorrow Now programme on Saturday 10 June.
Try a delicious spread of micro-food inspired by, and sourced from, local micro-organisms.
The A to Z Unit is an autonomous and evolving culinary research unit with a mission to map and investigate the roles of natural, modified & engineered micro-organisms (bacteria & yeasts) found within our food systems.
Shifting into the near future beyond 2º, the A to Z Unit are working with micro-culinary enthusiasts Blanch & Shock to create edible artefacts from local sources of micro-organisms altered by climate change. All for you to taste.
Barter, trade and exchange* at the bar for a taste of these creations.
Collaboration between the A to Z Unit and Blanch & Shock.
Would you like to be part of the team who harvest, map and sample the micro-organisms the East End has to offer? We're recruiting a team of micro-prospectors to work with us between 8-11 June. More information.
