Wild Longings is an aromatic, site-specific performance made bespoke to public gardens, revealing our delicate relationship with plants and the essential role they play in our lives.
The performance begins outside, with the audience setting off on an excursion through the landscape. They listen via headphones to an immersive, original composition of music, plant sounds and lyrical text that lures them into the heady world of plant romance. From herbaceous borders to sultry flowerbeds, audiences become privvy to devilish acts of floral sex and seduction.
The performance culminates in a feast for all the senses, as audiences take their place at the table and dine on a mouth-watering array of songs and stories, each with an accompanying flower or fruit 'course' relating to it.
