The circular economy: Sustainable practices

A free half day workshop for artists, focussing on circular and sustainable materials and practices

Artsadmin Summer Lab 2018. Photo by Rob Harris.

Culture and creativity are tools for transformative change and are needed to achieve a circular and sustainable economy – from the products we design, the buildings and festivals we create, to the stories we share about our material world. The circular economy offers the chance to rethink how we make and use the things we need, allowing us to explore new ways of creating long-term value and a prosperous society. The arts are inspiring new behaviours and practices and contributing to innovations in material, economic, and social design.

As part of the Accelerator Programme run by Julie’s Bicycle, join Artsadmin and Bow Arts for a half day workshop which will include a whistle-stop tour of the climate and environmental emergency and the response from artists and cultural organisations – then a dedicated session on idea development and action planning, focussing on circularity and sustainable materials and practices.
