Arrivals + Departures is a public artwork by artist duo YARA + DAVINA about birth, death and the journey in between

Arrivals + Departures continues its tour of festivals across England with its presentation at The Forum in Norwich as part of Norfolk & Norwich Festival.

These nostalgic display boards capture the joy and sadness of any arrivals hall or departure lounge. Visitors and passers-by can choose to contribute names via a live interaction with a guide at the Arrivals + Departures boards or online, from anywhere in the world, at arrivalsanddepartures.net.

Events
Integral to the public artwork are a series of free events, talks and workshops inviting people to sing, laugh, dance and maybe cry, through collective moments of figuring out how to better celebrate new life, grieve, live well and prepare for the end.

Broadcast on Norwich’s local radio station –  Future Radio – two programmes will mark the opening and closing of the boards in which the public will be invited to submit their choice of  birth related songs or music they would like played at their funeral:
