Make Space: Summer Project 2013
Throughout September, as part of Make Space 2013, 12 young artists from across the country came together with artist Nic Green to look at space in both a theoretical and philosophical way. Using performance as a lens for personal learning and individual development the group created a space at Hackney City Farm to spend time reflecting on their own spaces in the context of the farm and the group.
A sharing of this process took place at the end of the month and the group’s ideas were presented in the form of a teepee, communal eating, a bonfire and a cappella choral chants.
Nic Green will be creating and facilitating the next summer project in 2014. Following this, in 2015, there will be a symposium looking at these learning processes.
