Alex Lui is producer and theatre-maker based in London. Alex comes from a contemporary theatre performance background with a specific interest in the ‘liveness’ of performance on stage. His work uses theatrical techniques of participation, verbatim and multimedia.
After graduating from Lancaster University, in Contemporary Theatre Studies, Alex went on to further specialise in production, undergoing an MA in Creative Producing from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
He has previously worked with: Rhum and Clay Theatre Company (Assistant Producer, Testosterone), Camden People’s Theatre (Intern), 1927 (Assistant Producer/ Tour Booker, Golem 2017), Paines Plough (Festival Team, 2017) and Gingzilla (Artist Liaison, Gilded Balloon Present: Late Night Lip Service), and is currently creating work with fellow Lancaster University graduates I don’t love you anymore.
