Jessica Denning

(she/her)

Profile

Jessica contributes to how strategy, partnerships, policy and culture are embedded in the operations and leads on all logistics at Artsadmin’s home, Toynbee Studios.

She joined Artsadmin in 2011 and prior to her current role, has worked as both a Producer and Studios Manager at the organisation. She is passionate about developing and supporting creative communities and enjoys collaborating with people: brokering relationships, supporting direct-decision making and championing dynamic arts programming that enlivens places and benefits community cohesion and well-being.

Jessica grew up in theatres and studied ballet, contemporary dance and music. Following a technical theatre degree in Stage Management, she turned her focus to contemporary performance theory, earning a degree in Arts and Culture from the School for Contemporary Arts at the Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.

She has also worked in tourism, gaining valuable skills in hospitality, sales, marketing, operations and environmental stewardship and an unparalleled education from First Nations colleagues in art, culture and West Coast ecology. Seeking international experience in contemporary art and policy she moved to Europe in 2008. She joined the Young Vic Theatre as Deputy Theatre Manager/Front of House Manager until a leadership course in producing brought her attention to Artsadmin.

Jessica spends most of her free time outdoors, swimming, cycling, eating nice food and singing about dinosaurs with her kid.
