On Local day, shoppers and visitors are invited to a shopping experience with a difference: through interventions on the high street it will give local people the chance to encounter local businesses and the many personalities behind them.

In the weeks leading up to Local day, Mem Morrison will gather memories, stories and messages after meeting with local residents. The day itself will see these personal stories threaded back into the lifeblood of the street. Local day will be celebrating the vitality and value of the local small businesses and renewing its long-standing market tradition.

Local is created by Mem Morrison Company. Project commissioned by Enfield Council, funded by Working Neighbourhood Fund and produced by Artsadmin.
