Dinner with America
Rajni Shah
Dinner with America is the second in a trilogy of visually rich performance installations exploring cultural identity in the 21st century. It reflects on what 'America' means to us. Created during the era when George W. Bush was President, the performance provides an insight into a defining moment in the country's history – uncovering sub-themes of consumerism, rights, ownership, voices, hopes, harvest and division with a finale which embraces its audience in a shared meal.
