Duncan MacAskill Pin Portraits

The Pin Portraits were originally commissioned by the Royal Opera House as part of DELOITTES IGNITE 11 at the Royal Opera House on 2, 3 & 4 September 2011 and will hang for a year in the Link/Box Office.

For the 3 day event Duncan had an Installation of the Pin Studio in the Supper Rooms where he finished the Pin Portrait of Wayne McGregor. Using over a quarter of a million drawing pins, it took 6 weeks. The 2 Pin Portraits are 300cms x 300cms.

Duncan MacAskill was artist in residence at Toynbe Studios from 2005-2007 during the refurbishment of the building, Mapping Artsadmin is exhibited throughout the building.
