LACE: Vanishing Point
A video trail of vast landscapes and catastrophic incidents made by Leslie Hill and screened in a series of miniature makeshift cinemas fashioned from toys and found objects by Chris Dobrowolski.
Installed on lamp-posts, street furniture and trees, the short films housed in small sculptural objects present a series of visual paradoxes played out by matchbox cars and vintage toys. Vanishing Point combines the epic with the pathetic and plays with scale, distance and suspense to produce an intimate, witty and sociable encounter with film and art in the everyday world.
Free to view at festivals across the region this summer.
