Museum of Water collection

PILOT, September 2013. Photo by Tony Millings.

Midday – 6pm.

In June 2014 Amy Sharrocks' Museum of Water will be open as a major installation in the atmospheric underground spaces of Somerset House. Throughout Spring 2014 we are gathering over 1,000 donations and this is an opportunity to add yours to the collection. Amy Sharrocks and the Museum of Water team will be collecting donations in the courtyard of Somerset House on World Water Day, Saturday 22nd March.

Choose which water is most precious to you. Find a bottle or glass vessel to put it in. Tell us why you chose this water. We will keep it for you.

Accumulated over two years from different sites worldwide, Museum of Water is a collection of publicly donated water and accompanying stories, and an invitation to consider humans’ relationship with the most precious liquid the world has to offer.
