Natural Habitat
Tim Spooner
Natural Habitat is a sculptural installation of fragility and nervousness. It comes from Tim Spooner’s latest performance The Voice of Nature where an operator manipulates materials, objects and forces pushing their physical qualities to their breaking point
In Natural Habitat, commissioned by Hayward Touring for Shonky: The Aesthetics of Awkwardness, the unpredictability of objects and materials is explored further as the moving sculptural elements from the performance are released into the wild of the gallery to interact without human interference.
