Rui Rodrigues is a Fine art graduate from Middlesex University.
Raised in east London and of Portuguese decent, his work focuses on the affects and changes of the local community. Despite his painting background his most recent work is a short film Voices of Hartley exploring his fascination with youth culture, collaboration with local young people of the Hartley Youth Centre in East Ham.
Rui is currently working on a series of portraits in oil and acrylic loosely based around youth and ambition looking at positive young role models in the his community.
