In June 2011, Curious asked Stratford-Upon-Avon residents and visitors to talk to them about the places, things and people they love.
Inspired by the fourteen lines of a Shakespearean sonnet, fourteen people were chosen to have their portrait taken by acclaimed photographer Hugo Glendinning. These portraits, taken in a treasured spot or with a loved one, celebrate the epic within the everyday.
The accompanying performance, Slipstreaming, was made for a boat cruise up the River Avon on 6 & 7 August.
14 Lines was commissioned as part of the RSC 50th birthday celebrations and supported by the Hosking Houses Trust.
