We sometimes work on additional projects and you can read about those collaborations here.
Canon Barnett Primary School
We partner regularly with our neighbours Canon Barnett Primary School, collaborating with children and staff throughout the school over a number of years. Highlights include:
Created in collaboration with Year 5 and artist Andy Field, Lookout is a one-to-one encounter between adult audience member and child performer taking place on the rooftop of a sky scraper in the city.
Monuments of Tower Hamlets
Using forgotten materials such as fluff, discarded scraps of wood and pieces of broken toys, Tim Spooner and Year 2 students created an exhibition of miniature sculptures that present an alternative view of Tower Hamlets. Read the blog here.
The sculptures from Monuments of Tower Hamlets now live on the first floor of Toynbee Studios and are available to view by appointment – get in touch if you’re interested.
A live art game played by adults and children, together. Artsadmin and LADA joined forces to play up with Year 3. Read the blog here.
This partnership saw us work with mental health charity Mosaic Clubhouse. Poet Deanna Rodger worked with the young members of Mosaic Clubhouse to create poetry exploring who Brixton is and what Brixton means to them. The project culminated with the Brixton Voices group performing their work to an audience at the Brixton Pound Cafe.
The Aldgate Partnership
We are regular fixtures at local events The Aldgate Square Festival in summer and Aldgate in Winter which celebrate all that the Aldgate area has to offer. Artsadmin have taken part with performances from Youth Board members, spoken word from our Brixton Voices poetry group and the Artsadmin team being on hand offering delicious snacks from our Arts Bar & Café and getting to know the local community.
