Meet the people behind Artsadmin!

Board of Trustees

Steph Cullen is the Marketing Manager for a leading London theatre. She has worked in the arts industry for over ten years and has championed racial diversity in the sector.
In her spare time, Steph is a volunteer at a foodbank, soup kitchen, and an education charity, a graphic designer, and is soon to complete her masters in Web Development and Graphic Design.

Daisy Hale is an independent producer, fundraiser and sometime artist working across theatre, cabaret, live art and large-scale events with a multitude of exciting performance artists.
They specialise in experimental and socially engaged work that often has a grassroots activism strand and primarily work with Queer, Trans* and Disabled artists, bringing artists that have been historically ostracised into the mainstream through populism and fun. Previously Daisy was associate producer for Theatre Royal Stratford East, was part of the Old Vic 12 2019 and a Clore Emerging Leader 2020. They’re also an access consultant and disability equality trainer for arts organisations.

Christoph Jankowski is Regional Manager for the Americas and East Asia in the British Council’s Global Network Team – connecting the organisation’s work in those regions with the London headquarters and manages government relations. He was previously Head of Culture at Creative Europe Desk UK at the British Council. Since 2010, he supported hundreds of UK and other European organisations in developing arts, culture and heritage focused partnerships, projects and successful Creative Europe applications. He is an expert in European cultural policy and the impact of European collaboration on the sector, and is well connected through a number of European networks. Christoph has developed particular expertise, through necessity, on the possible impacts of Brexit on the cultural and creative sectors. He grew up in Brussels, is of German and American heritage and lives in Bow, East London.

Ama Josephine B. Johnstone is a researcher, speculative writer, artist and pleasure activist whose work navigates intimate explorations of race, art, ecology and feminism. She is a PhD candidate in Psychosocial Studies with Dr Gail Lewis, recipient of the Keith Haring Fellow in Art and Activism at Bard College, NY and the Local and International Planetary fictions fellowship between EVA International (Ireland) and Curatorial Frame (Finland), and has had her essays, short fiction and art writing  published internationally, and exhibited work across Europe.

Alex Rinsler is the Nine Elms Strategic Lead for Culture, employed by Wandsworth Council and working to ensure that Nine Elms becomes a vibrant cultural district. As an artist he makes large-scale interdisciplinary work with communities, exhibiting in cities around the world. He is a Trustee of the Art B&B in Blackpool and former creative lead, Blackpool Illuminations. 

Jeremy Smeeth is Chief Operating Officer at Norwich University of the Arts. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London and began working in performing arts management in 1997. From 2016 to 2022 he was Chief Operating Officer at Mountview and prior to that was Finance Director at Southbank Centre. Previously he was Director of Finance and Administration at National Theatre of Scotland, Finance Director at Artsadmin and Finance Manager for Shared Experience, Company of Angels, International Workshop Festival, Chickenshed and the Orange Tree Theatre.
