Artsadmin is working with The Place and other partners to put together a network of accommodation spaces for visiting artists to stay in London whilst on residencies or touring.

Artsadmin’s e-Digest has always included a section called Lonely Arts in its weekly listing. Throughout the years, this section has nurtured a community of hosts; connecting artists with studios, spare rooms, and workspaces. 

For our 1000th edition, we’d like to take this further. We want to build a vetted network of affordable accommodation where artists can stay and feel safe whilst in London, temporarily. 

We are looking for affordable, accessible, LGBTQ+ welcoming, anti-racist spaces where artists can be physically, mentally, culturally, and environmentally safe.

If you have a spare bedroom, or maybe you know someone who travels a lot or has more bedrooms than they need, or you have an Airbnb you manage, and you are interested in taking part of this network by offering temporary accommodation to host visiting artists, please get in contact with us and we can start a conversation.
