My childhood has never lost its magic, it has never lost its mystery and it has never lost its drama. All my work of the last 50 years, all my subjects have found their inspiration in my childhood. Louise Bourgeois.
The V&A Museum of Childhood comes mysteriously to life after hours in a site-specific promenade performance exploring memory, childhood and the writing of sculptor Louise Bourgeois. Devised specifically for the Museum by Lucy Cash with local elders and children from Bethnal Green to celebrate the Big Dance, Sewing Your Shadow combines live movement, singing and drawing with film installation and nifty design elements by Lucille Acevedo-Jones.
Take a key and unlock the mysterious world inside…
An East London Dance & T-Mobile Big Dance commission produced by Artsadmin and Chisenhale Dance Space supported by London Borough of Tower Hamlets and presented as part of CREATE10
