The Shimmy

Home Live Art has commissioned Encounters to create a participatory project as part of Wandsworth Arts Festival’s one day Shimmy event by the River Thames in Putney on 23 May. 
Encounter’s part of The Shimmy route begins at Church Square, follows Putney Wharf, then Deodar Road to Wandsworth Park, about 20 mins walk, longer if you take part in our activities! Step into the shoes of others, pause to read the writing on the washing line, set your own mood at our river cinema special viewing, then journey through your own story of Deodar Road. See the familiar re-framed, and the unfamiliar brought into view as we offer our own take on this year’s Look Again theme.
