A River Enquiry

Four British artists, commissioned by home live art for the Mayor's Thames Festival, present new works created in response to the River Thames. Through performance, text, music and action each artist explores a different dimension of our present-day relationship with London's river.

Water Music 2010 – Anne Bean and Stephen Shiell
An exploratory sound installation, or ‘waterscape', using river water to create a range of sounds underscored by Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks.

A dialogue using semaphore flags, testing the limits of intimacy between two performers separated by the River Thames.
