You Me Bum Bum Train Poster Exhibition

You Me Bum Bum Train

Curated by Timothy Stevens

Drawers Gallery is honoured to welcome to its vault major award winning artists Kate Bond and Morgan LloydYou Me Bum Bum Train' for a unique exhibition of the beautiful posters painted by Kate Bond and Morgan Lloyd over the past six years for every You Me Bum Bum Train production.

On show will be a selection of their finest work to date. The exhibition is a must-see for the ever growing mass of You Me Bum Bum Train fans who for the first time have the opportunity to gain a souvenir in the form of limited edition prints of all past posters. Like the You Me Bum Bum Train journey the posters pay homage to the surreal, moral, mundane, magical and humorous elements of life, in a vibrant and celebratory painting style.

Once described in Dazed and Confused magazine as “One of London's more obtuse treasures is set to become one of Great Britain's proudest moments”. This has now become the reality. Celebrating its sixth year, the show has managed to span multiple disciplines, becoming a perfect melting pot of live art, theatre, comedy, and entertainment.

Aside from winning The Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Award 2010 and The Evening Standard Award 2010 for 'Outstanding Newcomer', You Me Bum Bum Train became the fastest ever selling show at the Barbican to date. You can't experience the You Me Bum Bum Train journey at this exhibition, but this will be the first opportunity for fans and supporters to see a retrospective of You Me Bum Bum Train posters.
