Dance Art Foundation: At Once Twice

7.30pm. £12 / £8 concessions

At Once Twice features two unique adaptations of At Once, a solo by iconoclastic American choreographer Deborah Hay, adapted and performed by international artists Christopher House (Toronto) and Joe Moran (London). Separated by a generation, by geography and by divergent dance backgrounds, two men come together to offer individual perspectives on the same complex and compelling choreographic score.

‘'A fascinating dance experience… Two very different dancers performed the same solo by choreographer Deborah Hay. Here's the kicker. The personal aesthetics of Toronto Dance Theatre artistic director Christopher House, and Dance Art Foundation artistic director Joe Moran (London, England), have radically transformed the Hay solo… House is a mature artist and in his hands, ‘At Once’ is bittersweet, melancholy reflection. Moran's interpretation explodes with the energy and insouciance of youth''
The Globe and Mail (Canada)

There wil be Lecture-performance on Deborah Hay's radical choreography followed by an artists-in-conversation on 2 Dec.

Joe Moran and Christopher House will be leading an Artsadmin Weekender on 3 & 4 December.
