Local radical historian, David Rosenberg, will be launching his new book, Battle for the East End: Jewish Response to Fascism in the 1930s at The Salon.
Rosenberg traces how the Jewish community debated in which ways to deal with the Fascist threat, building their own defence organisations, culminating in the Battle of Cable Street when more than 100,000 Jews, Irish and others came out to stop Mosley marching into the East End.
Please join us for an evening of readings, talks and debate.
THCBTP has recently created a new reading room at The Salon on Toynbee Street. The collection comprises of donations ranging from insurrectionary texts, economic analysis and sociological theory and is available to all. You can also bring your USB stick or print off an article from the PDF archive (made possible by USB Crew and David Graeber).
