LACE: British Social Athlete open workshops
Mel Donohoe has been working with the people of Jaywick in Essex to create a message from the Eastern reaches of the UK to the heart of London 2012.
A British Social Athlete is the undiscovered, physically unprepared everyday person in the street. Travelling as the crow flies across varied terrain, Mel and Team BSA will sail, cycle and walk from Jaywick to Stratford to deliver their message to London and the world. They’ve been having some thoughts. They’ve got something to say.
Open workshops will take place at Jaywick Martello Tower from 13 to 15 April. Team BSA will train as part of the Tour de Tendring on 20 May and set out from the Jaylympics on 14 July to arrive in East London on Saturday 21 July. The project will culminate in an exhibition at Jaywick Martello Tower from 2 March to 28 April 2013.
Do you want to be part of the message? Come and have YOUR say.
