Museum of Water
Saturday 1 November: 9am – 6pm
Sunday 2 November: 11am – 5pm
Museum of Water is a collection of publicly donated water and accompanying stories. The Museum invites you to consider the ways in which you enjoy water: do you swim in pools, do you splash in puddles, do you drink from taps?
Choose which water is most precious to you. Find a bottle to put it in. Tell us why you chose this water. We will keep it for you.
Accumulating over two years in different sites worldwide, Museum of Water is an invitation to ponder our precious liquid and how we use it.
This November, Museum of Water visits Cambridge’s Grand Arcade shopping centre as part of Curating Cambridge; a five week festival of exhibitions, events, workshops, performances, talks, trails and hands-on fun bringing together culture and creativity across the city.
In Cambridge, you can make your own donation to the museum as well as see some of the existing collection. In celebration of the ready availability of fresh water in this country we’ll also be running the Water Bar, a free pop-up bar serving only tap water.
