Radar: Let’s Get Personal

A session focused on building personal finance plans that work for artists

Radar workshop, photo by Artsadmin

Covid-19 has severely disrupted the financial situation of so many artists so we’re dedicating a week to talking about money and financial advice. We’ve heard from artists that they feel overwhelmed by the reality of their financial situation, and that their fear and anxiety are increasing as this crisis goes on. Being a freelance artist means a lot of the general ‘how to do money’ tutorials don’t line up with our professional reality, especially in a Covid-19 context. So we’d like to help.

We’re offering two Radar workshops – one about personal finance (this one), another on professional finance.

About this session

In this session with Valentina Vela, we will address common anxieties and barriers that people in the arts experience when looking at their own personal financial health.

Who is this for?

This session is open to artists at any stage of their practice.

About Radar

Radar is a vital part of Artsadmin’s support system for artists. Radar is a series of free sessions, talks and events. Each season, we offer different skills and tools for artists at all stages of their careers to build a more sustainable practice. Artsadmin’s expertise and experience lie in performance and live art, and so places for Radar are best suited to artists working directly in these fields. The theme for Spring 2020 is MONEY.

The sessions will be delivered digitally via Zoom, with regular breaks. If you would like this session to be captioned, please email access@artsadmin.co.uk.
