Catherine is an experienced operational and strategic leader with an arts career spanning community arts producing, venue management and festival delivery. She worked for many years in operational roles at Midlands Arts Centre, alongside various freelance roles and studies. Over 8 years at Fierce Festival she worked on 4 editions of the international festival and major projects for the Birmingham 2022 Festival; Key to the City where 15,000 people were awarded keys that gave them access to private and intriguing spaces across the city, and the Healing Gardens of Bab, an artistic response to our colonial history of homophobia.
Outside of her work in the arts, Catherine has delivered bespoke training and strategic consultancy to a range of charities in areas as diverse as international development, asylum and refugee legal advice, and homeless services. She currently sits on the board of two charities supporting homeless and vulnerably-housed people.
Catherine values care and generosity and tries to embody this in all of her work.
