Philip Li is a young London-based artist, who fuses together performance, fashion and ceramics to create his unique artistic language and vision.
Playing both the role of sculptor and sculpture, his performances and exhibitions showcase his interpretations of gender and identity, through his physical transformations and constructions.
Graduating from Camberwell College of Arts in 2009, Li is most renowned for his unconventional ceramics and body sculpting; incorporating ceramics with ritualistic live-making performances, architectural body sculptures and performance documentation. Li has recently exhibited and performed at the British Ceramics Biennial and at Tate Modern, and has produced work for Wieden + Kennedy London and Wallpaper* Magazine.
