Writing about Reid’s work the artist Becky Shaw said that “The performances are generated from scrupulous examination of existing texts, buildings or images, and require the production of carefully considered scripts that are often published as part of the work”. To clarify Shaw’s remarks, you should understand that Reid’s performances are like ‘script meetings’ with the performer working towards a ‘script’ with the help, or not, of an audience.
