In this harsh economic climate, visual artists who’ve got interesting ideas to further their practice and careers are seeking out dedicated opportunities to learn about how to enhance their project pitching and fundraising techniques.
In response to this, a-n The Artists Information Company that specialises in artists’ professional development and Hen Norton, co-founder of the crowdfunding organisation WeDidThis, have developed a seminar programme designed to do just that.
The session looks at identifying your key audiences, making the most of your networks and developing a strategy and timeline for making the most effective use of micro-financing. Participants need to be computer literate and familiar with self-directed learning, as this session relies on these. You should also be familiar with social media and undertaken some initial research into the basics of crowd-funding.
Full details of eligibility and how to apply can be found on the a-n website
