Showcasing experimental work and choreographic enquiry across traditional art-form boundaries What Matters, curated by Lucy Cash and Becky Edmunds (straybird) took place over four days in April 2012.
Following on from the questions asked at their What if… festival in 2010, What Matters sits between a choreographed exhibition and an exhibited choreography, questioning the nature and relationship of these practices. Folding out through a thoughtful programme of screenings, performance, debate and discussion that culminated in a long weekend of events located around the building.
What Matters is presented by Independent Dance in association with Siobhan Davies Dance and South East Dance. Additional support from the International Journal of Screendance.
