Artsadmin is delighted to have been awarded funding from Creative Europe, the EU’s funding programme for the cultural and creative sector, along with 31 other UK organisations.

We will be partners on two Large Cooperation Projects, working in collaboration with arts partners across Europe over the next four years: Art Climate Transition (ACT) and BE PART.

“We were absolutely thrilled to hear that our two Creative Europe applications in the latest round were successful. The four-year funding for Art Climate Transition (formerly called Imagine 2020) allows us to continue to work with our long-standing partners across the EU on artists’ projects about the most important issue of our time – the climate crisis. This will enable us to commission some extraordinary artists and curate future 2 Degrees Festival programmes on art, climate and activism.

For our new Cooperation Project, BE PART, we are joining forces with an exciting new group of partners to create a new collaborative artist residency programmes. With the addition of our current project, Create to Connect > Create to Impact, we are now working on three Large Cooperation Projects, which enable Artsadmin to remain close to our artistic allies across Europe, produce exciting and relevant projects, and keep an outward facing focus to our work despite the anxieties about Brexit.”

Of the 32 organisations who received support in the UK, 62% of awards have gone to organisations based outside of London, with greater geographical distribution of funding this year.

“Now more than ever, our co-operative bonds with European partners form an essential part of the support we offer artists. We are thrilled to deepen and enhance these relationships with existing and new European partners, with the endorsement of Creative Europe. We look forward to collaborating with artists to make and share new work not just here in London, but in Aberdeenshire, Tunis, Cork, Brussels, Riga, Santarcangelo, Helsinki and many other places.”

“Despite uncertainties around Brexit, creative solidarity remains strong across the UK and rest-of-Europe.”

Christoph Jankowski, Head of Culture in England and Culture Advisor UK, Creative Europe Desk and Trustee, Artsadmin

You can read the full list of UK organisations on the Creative Europe Desk UK website.
